My first week.

An unrelated picture. :D
The first day in the university was really difficult/tiring.  It didn't help either that it's my 1st year and I'm  not too familiar with the campus or the system. Of course, there's an awful lot of "stupid freshmen" like me running around being clueless, so everything gets mixed up. Yeah, it's also sort of fun.
but know what? It is all awfully sweaty! No, really. Yesterday, it was quite hot outside, of which I wasn't aware in the morning, so I wore a leather jacket with jeans. Not a good idea, if you have to try to fit yourself in an overly crowded auditorium. An auditorium, where almost every student is also wearing too much clothing for the warm day.

So, today I thought it'll get warmer during the day again. Guess what?!?  It started raining really hard. My jacket (not the leather one, mind you) was literally soaking wet and I was so cold. Damn you, Estonian weather!

It feels weird walking around amongst such an amount of complete strangers. Yesterday I felt extremely insecure. It seemed everyone was staring at me and commenting or judging the way I was dressed or looked in general. Stupid, I know. Espescially considering it's a big university with a lot of different people.
Saw a girl wearing a full on gothic lolita outfit (looked cute, I'm not sure, if it's comfortable to wear at school, but otherwise - so cute :) ), just for example. Sure she stood out much more than me and still I didn't see anyone stare at her. So why am  I nervous?
Maybe it's just I'm much more comfortable wearing skirts and dresses, not quite ill-fitting jeans. Don't have any good ones though. Sigh.

Sure, I'm not always insecure like that. Mostly I'm not.  It's just... New place, new people, new situation... I guess I'd feel awkward no matter how I'd look. And probably I'm not the only one feeling awkward and/or insecure right now.

Last night I was so tired, I couldn't find the energy even to blog. I wanted to do another "music monday" ( I like having some kind of system, so I won't rant about music randomly all the time. Which I'd probably do.) and tell you (whoever is reading this) about a really good band from Estonia. (Gotta promote local bands, hehe! ) Oh well, there's always a next time.

Instead I'll just add one of my latest favorite songs right here :) (no, The Reckless Ones are not from Estonia, even though I'd like them to be, hehe :D )
